Followin' "Crypto Rumble" is a Web3 game built on the Zypher Network game engine, combining a card RPG and a match-3 game. Through engaging game design and lightweight gameplay, "Crypto Rumble" not only brings an immersive gaming experience to players, but also provides an open and autonomous world for players to explore Web3 through the game's AI Bot-based game editor.
The game was launched in January 2023 and won the first place in the BNB Chain Hackathon (November 2023). In the game test on Taiko's Katla mainnet in January 2024, it attracted over 300,000 players and generated more than 5 million transactions.
The official version of the game will be released in December 2024, and a Linea mainnet testing activity will be held from December 19, 2024 to January 9, 2025, lasting three weeks. During the activity, players can obtain testing rewards by participating in World BOSS and PvE gameplay.
Game Gameplay Introduction
The ultimate goal of "Crypto Rumble" is to defeat the evil BOSS. Before each game, players need to select three heroes from their hero pool as their team members, and can also choose different equipment in their backpack to provide certain attribute bonuses for their heroes.
In the game, the player's team and the BOSS adopt a turn-based battle mode. In the player's turn, the player needs to use the match-3 gameplay to charge the attack of their heroes. Each time blocks are eliminated, the player's team will take turns attacking the BOSS. The more blocks the player eliminates, the higher the damage dealt to the BOSS. Players need to defeat the BOSS before the game steps are exhausted, otherwise the game will fail.
Before the game starts, players need to assemble a hero team, with at least one hero and a maximum of three, which can be obtained through blind box opening. The current blind box acquisition methods are:
- Airdrop of blind boxes by participating in the Linea test
- Blind box pre-sale at half price
- Limited purchase in the in-game store
Three game modes:
- PvE mode
In the PvE mode, players complete tasks and instance challenges by fighting against AI-controlled enemies. This mode focuses on the growth of the player's heroes and the improvement of equipment, and is suitable for players who enjoy strategy and cultivation gameplay.
- World Boss mode
The World Boss mode is a global cooperative and competitive mode. Players need to fight against a powerful World Boss, and the ranking of individual damage output will determine the rewards. High-ranking players can not only win rare items and $CR tokens, but also exchange points for more rewards, demonstrating their strength and gaining a sense of achievement.
- PvP mode
The PvP mode provides a competitive platform for players to directly compete with each other. In this mode, players compete to deal damage to the same Boss, using $Diam as the betting chip, and the winner gets more chips. The PvP mode emphasizes real-time strategy and operation, and is suitable for high-level players who enjoy challenges and competition.
Test Reward Activity Rules
The test reward activity is an incentive activity launched before and in the early stage of the game's launch, aiming to help users further understand "Crypto Rumble" and provide assistance for the continuous optimization of the game. It is important to note that users need to obtain a whitelist (through KOL's lottery, community activities) and pledge ETH in the TVL staking activity (staking link: https://ark.zypher.network/) to qualify for the test activity, and the quota is limited to 1,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
After entering the game through ETH staking, users can receive an initial reward, which is 3 hero blind boxes airdropped on the Linea mainnet in the form of SBT. After opening the blind boxes, users can obtain three heroes to form a game team.
Game Rewards
The test activity mainly includes two game modes: PvE and World BOSS, and provides three types of game rewards: World BOSS Challenge Rewards, Upgrade Rewards, and Participation Rewards.
- World BOSS Challenge Rewards
In the World BOSS gameplay, the system will rank players based on their individual damage output to the BOSS, and the ranking will be the basis for player rewards. During the test activity, the ranking method is the total damage dealt to the Boss in a single game, and players can participate in the game multiple times, and the system will record the highest total damage. After the test ends, ETH rewards will be distributed based on the World Boss ranking.
The game's reward pool: In the World BOSS mode, the reward pool is 10,000 U, and the "Crypto Rumble" team will invest the same amount of ETH as the total player staking amount into the reward pool (up to 50,000 U), so the overall World BOSS pool is quite substantial.
The rewards will be distributed according to the ranking, with the top 100 players receiving 50% of the pool (the higher the ranking, the higher the reward weight), and the remaining 50% evenly distributed to the 900 participants, so players need to strive to improve their ranking, that is, continuously increase the damage value of their team.
- Upgrade Reward: In addition to the World BOSS reward, players who upgrade any hero to level 10 and complete the 5th PVE level will receive a hero blind box airdrop in the official version, with a total of 1,000 blind boxes available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participation Reward: Participating in the Linea test version can earn CR points, Zypher points, and Linea airdrops, with the amount of points allocated based on the player's gameplay during the test period.
Overall, players can receive: USDT rewards from the World Boss pool, NFT hero blind boxes, and project Token airdrops (Crypto Rumble + Zypher + Linea), which are quite substantial rewards.
How to maximize game rewards?
In fact, one of the rewards is fixed and determined, such as the upgrade reward, which players can quickly obtain by grinding PvE. The World BOSS reward and the participation reward are non-fixed.
So how to achieve the maximum benefit? Actively participate in the game.
We can see that the participation reward is determined by the player's gameplay during the test period, and based on past airdrop characteristics, the more active and the more game participation, the more rewards the player will receive. So players must maintain high activity during the test to have the chance to receive higher airdrop incentives.
For the World BOSS, the reward is mainly based on the player's damage output to the BOSS in a single game. Players can continuously level up their heroes through the PvE mode, and the higher the hero level, the higher the attack power, which will lead to higher damage to the BOSS, helping players to achieve a higher game ranking and strive for the top rewards.
