Binance is teaming up with the Kyrgyz government to actively develop the local digital asset ecosystem.
On the 4th (local time), Binance announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kyrgyz National Investment Agency and agreed to collaborate on cryptocurrency payment infrastructure and blockchain education programs in the country. This MOU was formalized at the founding meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets, and Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, also attended the meeting, drawing attention.
Through this agreement, Binance will introduce its cryptocurrency payment system, 'Binance Pay', to the Kyrgyz market. This is expected to open up opportunities for local residents and tourists to use cryptocurrency-based payments. In particular, they plan to focus on infrastructure expansion to enable digital assets to be used as practical payment methods in everyday consumption activities.
Educational cooperation is also a key axis of this partnership. Binance Academy, an educational institution under Binance, plans to collaborate with relevant government departments and financial institutions to jointly develop blockchain-centered education programs and learning courses. This aims to nurture talent and spread technology in the blockchain industry simultaneously.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance's Head of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, stated, "I am very pleased that through strategic cooperation with the Kyrgyz Investment Agency, we will actively promote the development of cryptocurrency assets in the region."
Meanwhile, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), Binance's founder and former CEO, signed a separate Memorandum of Understanding with the Kyrgyz Foreign Investment Agency in April and officially began providing policy advice on blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency industry. Some market analysts suggest that this series of cooperative moves could potentially induce global regulatory relaxation in conjunction with the pro-cryptocurrency stance of the Trump administration.
