What really needs to be fixed for crypto to be taken seriously is the transparency. At least in the public markets when you’re an insider, you have to make filings when you’re selling shares. In crypto you have major funds pumping and dumping token allos without any disclosures.
For instance, Pumpfun did a private sale before the ICO. It was at a discount and nobody knows the details if they weren’t involved. I get certain info because of who I know. And I can plainly see big players promoting the token on the tl while selling material amount of tokens.
If it’s not illegal (I suspect it is), it’s certainly unethical. And it’s an easy problem to fix. Nobody should be buying any tokens that have opaque distribution. You’re constantly being dumped on by insiders. Which happens in public markets, but at least they tell you about it.
