Just now, an Aussie friend sent me a screenshot asking if the Chinese government is really banning crypto again. I was totally confused. Checked @Cointelegraph—didn’t see anything. Also asked some friends who are pretty close to policy circles here, and no one’s heard a thing. Honestly, I think someone just photoshopped that image, probably mimicking the wording from back in 2021: “China’s top regulators ban crypto trading and mining, sending bitcoin tumbling.” Guess even foreigners need a reason when the market dumps 😂😂. If BTC survived the early days of China FUD, it’s hardly going down now. If the ban is actually real, maybe it’s time to sell my house and go all in again!
